As if preserved from time, this old country house remains standing in a beautiful location on the outskirts of the village, awaiting a new life. That is what the new owners decided to offer it when they entrusted us with their project. They wanted an extension in order to create the large living room that the old walls could not offer.

Everything was carefully planned. The choice of materials and decoration was inspired by the existing elements (the old terracotta floors that were preserved, an old stone wall, exposed beam ceilings) and by the taste of its occupants (grandiose entrance, massive stone staircase with an English-style balustrade...).

A dialogue between the ancient and the modern was therefore created, neither one prevailing over the other. The same goes for the garden, recovering from the harsh winter of 2010
